how quenched our you by Jesus and His love...

have you started overflowing yet?

how has Christ's love for you overflowed into you loving others?

Quench Your Thirst, Part 3 of 4

Check this out...

yeah, so Jesus obviously isn't like that. Have you seen how loving He is toward the Samaritan woman?

In Psalm 63 and in John 4, David and the Samaritan woman have their thirsts quenched by the love of God.

For David, God's love was David seeing His glory and power while worshiping and being rescued from evil people.

For the woman, God's love was staring her in the face, hanging out with her, even though she was an outcast in every way imaginable.

For you, God's love calls to you every day. The Spirit calls you to remember the atoning cross, where Jesus died to make you His even though you sin against Him.

Drink deeply of that love and let your thirst be quenched.

Quench Your Thirst, Part 2 of 4

Things don't live in deserts. Why is that? Of course--there's no water. Things need water to survive and thrive, and "where there is no water" there is no surviving and thriving.
Where you are and who you are are deserts. Don't believe me? Look around you. Is there anything around you at school, at home, at church, or at the mall that can fully quench your thirst and satisfy you?
What about within yourself? Is there anything there that can quench your thirst? Can you keep yourself from screwing up? Can you keep yourself from wanting more? Can you keep yourself from pain, hurt, death?
Where you are and who you are are deserts.
Psalm 63:1
You, God, are my God
earnestly I seek you.
I thirst for you;
my whole being longs for you
in a dry and parched land
where there is no water.

Quench Your Thirst, Part 1 of 4

Everyone thirsts for something.

Some thirst for friendship, for family, for love.

Others thirst for popularity, for recognition, for approval.

Many thirst for things, for money, for possessions.

Some thirst for adventure, for mystery, for escape.

Others thirst for hope, for relief, for safety.

Everyone thirsts for something.

What do you thirst for? What do you think will satisfy you? What do you think will save you?
