Project::Restore

“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,
because he has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
and recovery of sight for the blind,
to set the oppressed free,
to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”

This is Jesus preaching a sermon about himself in Luke 4, quoting a passage from Isaiah 61. Let me finish the Isaiah passage so you can see what Jesus was preaching about in its entirety:

“The will rebuild the ancient ruins
and restore the places long devastated;
they will renew the ruined cities
that have been devastated for generations.”

In other words, once someone has been freed and restored by the hands of Jesus, they begin acting it out with their own hands. They do this because they are satisfied with Jesus alone; no sacrifice is too much to spread the name and fame of King Jesus (see Isaiah 61:10-11). This, my friends, is what Blaze Teams is all about, this is what Project::Restore is about: the restoration of people and the glory of God in Christ.
